Webroot appoints Synnex Australia as solutions aggregator
March 3, 2020 – Synnex Australia expands its current partnership with OpenText. This partnership adds Webroot’s trusted cybersecurity and threat intelligence services through the Webroot Business Endpoint Protection and Webroot Security Awareness Training products.
Webroot Business Endpoint Protection has advanced beyond traditional endpoint security by leveraging cloud-based, machine learning architecture. With automatic updates and remediation, unique credential and anti-phishing defences, it combats attacks aimed at individual users and endpoint devices, while decreasing high deployment and operational management costs. It continually monitors actions and behaviours, and leverages machine learning to determine if a new file or process is malicious or not, all with extremely high accuracy.
Webroot Security Awareness Training provides the continuous and measurable cybersecurity education that businesses need to minimize user error, which results in costly losses. When implemented, the modules improve employee understanding of the threat landscape, and after twelve months of training show end users are 70 percent less likely to click on a phishing attempt.
Kee Ong, Synnex Australia CEO emphasizes, “We are excited to offer Webroot as a multilayer cybersecurity solution. By providing reseller partners with seamless cybersecurity management, user training, and backup and restore capabilities through Carbonite, we can strengthen cyber resilience and empower leaders to worry less about cyber threats and more about growing their business”.
“We are extremely partner-centric in our routes to market for MSPs, SMBs and consumers across the APAC region,” said Steve Stavridis, APAC Regional Sales Director at Carbonite and Webroot. “Our journey with Synnex Australia began as a Carbonite distributor, and now the addition of Webroot enables us to provide an even more elevated partner experience to the Australian channel. The combination of technologies means that we will be able to offer total endpoint protection and safeguard individuals and businesses from the consequences of both cyber threats and data loss”.
Michael Tea, Synnex Australia Ecommerce and Cloud Services General Manager says, “Our partnership with Webroot will create a substantial number of new opportunities for our reseller partners; bundling cybersecurity with other solutions through one trusted provider”.
