Junior Business Analyst- MIS Team - VIC

About the role:
Reporting to the Management Information Systems Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Project management – independently handle projects or coordinate with other team members to deliver results
  • Participate in B2B E-Commerce website, Cloud business portal and EDI scoping, development, testing and maintenance using latest technology and API
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather and communicate business requirement
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis to identify possible improvement to efficiency.
  • Review Change Requests and develop technical specification, manage relevant resource and control timeline and outcome
  • Participate in ad hoc analysis and projects.
  • Provide Help Desk Support to internal staff within Synnex
  • Occasional work on weekends, after hours, and Public Holidays

 

About you:
The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills who is willing to contribute to the department goals and willing to participate in additional training and demonstrate the methods learnt to other team members.

  • Degree in IT or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst
  • Strong technical experience – Experience as a developer or test analyst prior to working as a Business Analyst is essential  
  • Demonstrated skills in SQL language with SQL Server & Oracle
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge in Cloud technology is preferable
  • Experience in managing system development related projects
  • A proven understanding of business concepts and processes
  • Experience in developing user requirements, functional requirements and user stories
  • Experience in requirements traceability, test case development and delivering test cycles
  • Experience with ERP system, Microsoft Dynamic CRM and EDI support is desirable
  • Knowledge of cyber security and related security measurement is desirable
  • General familiarity with Windows administration, networking, programming languages and databases preferred
  • Sound communication, organisation and project coordination skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
